Take 10 minutes to watch this cartoon from 50 years ago.  It’s educational, in a fun/silly way ... and, you’ll be surprised.

In 1916, a minister and outspoken advocate for liberty, William J. H. Boetcker, published a pamphlet entitled The Ten Cannots:

  1. You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.

  1. You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.

  1. You cannot help the poor man by destroying the rich.

  1. You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.

  1. You cannot build character and courage by taking away man's initiative and independence.

  1. You cannot help small men by tearing down big men.

  1. You cannot lift the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer.

  1. You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than your income.

  1. You cannot establish security on borrowed money.

  1. You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they will not do for themselves.

Fact is that government cannot give to anybody what it does not first take from somebody else.

“If ever a time shall come when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government,

our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin.”

-- Samuel Adams

This Administration needs to be reminded of the admonition from one of its own...

"I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration, somehow you're not patriotic and we should stand up and say, we are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with ANY administration." - Hillary Clinton 2003
